'We want YOUTH for our country'
You are a 14 year old child (female or male) living in Nazi Germany. Your next door neighbour and good friend has recently joined the 'Hitler Youth', and he has suggested that you come along to the next meeting and sign up. You have heard about this organization before - it is hard not to have heard as there are constant ads and posters all over the city.
You then decide to go to the meeting and are convinced to join...
After you join the Hitler Youth Organization, you are to document your experiences on what life is like in Nazi Germany in either a diary entry or letters to a family member or friend. Write in your workbook, and this will be checked by your teacher at the end of the web quest.
Keep in mind that every aspect of life was controlled by the Nazi party and your opposition to their ideals will lead to harsh consequences such as facing the dreaded SA and SS and don't forget your every move could be being watched by the Gestapo police.
Document your progress and your experiences within the Hitler Youth – this exercise aims at helping you gain a clear example and understanding of what the social life was like in Nazi Germany. All work must be completed in your workbook and is to be handed in for marking at the end of this web quest.
